Boom! Flash! Confetti… and smoke over the stadium! Ladies and Gentlemen,  keep your head up and eyes to the stars, The World Fireworks Championship is back in 2022! Over two nights in June, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium will play host to the time-honored competition, a pyrotechnic powerhouse of propulsion, skyrockets and international intrigue. Painting the sky silver and green to the sounds of Bizet’s Carmen last year were six teams from around the world, all winners of previous Pyronale showdowns. 12-person teams from Switzerland, Portugal and Poland shot for flory on the first day, while Austria, Sweden and Canada attempted to out-pyro each other the following night. If its last iteration was anything to judge by, we are already getting fired up for an explosive night out in the open sky, under real stars and a colorful array of flaming flying objects.
